Smooth page scrolling

Is there a way to scroll when changing pages? Right now it just flips from page to page and that's slightly disconcerting on a tablet when I use a swipe gesture to move from page to page. It'd be really nice if at least that gesture, if not other page movements, would scroll the current page off the screen while scrolling to the new page on, much like many modern image viewers do.
There is a Smooth Scrolling selection in the configuration options but it's not clear what it controls.
Other than this one relatively minor issue, CDisplayEx is an awesome program!
